I found “FFFFOUND” a great source of random images that can loosen the fluffff from your mind. The site is still invitation only beta. But anyone can look. Invitation only reminds me of those high class apartment parties in the city; while invite only kept the hoards out, sometimes you wondered if you belonged once you got there.

Brit designer James Bowskille brings us his scrapbook of beautifully designed Japanese products. Thank you Mr. Bowskill and congratulations on your new baby. (I like the name Adobe, why do I feel like George Costanza?) Some images are quite beautiful; fav’s being ‘mitsuya water’, ‘anjimoto salt’ (pictured here) and ‘alphabet cigarettes’, some clever like ‘caramel corn’ and ’shisiedo soap’, and some humorous like ‘nodo nuru throat swabs’. I love how sophisticated most of Japanese design is. The ‘phat kanji letters, bold color schemes, intricate patterns, and child like icons, are big on style and simplicity.
